Tape or glue or what??

Different craft projects require different types of adhesive. I always have these products on hand, in my craft room (it sucks when you're in the mood to create a certain project and can't because you're out of adhesive!):

You can find these adhesives at your local scrapbook, craft store or hardware store. For each brand of adhesive, it's a good idea to go on the company website or youtube, as they usually have tutorials on how to use the product properly along with videos/pictures of different projects that can be made.

Automatic Love

One of my favorite layouts that I've made of my kids. I love seeing their little heads on robot bodies, lol. This layout was inspired by my kids and was part of a kit where I had to use the word "automatic".

Here's a cute, in-expensive table setting that could be used for a wedding or special event. I created this project using the Bare blocks w/holder from Wall Sugar Co, along with some adhesive letters, patterned paper, faux grass and craft type transparency sheet.

Dresses

This layout was inspired by the picture on it. In the picture, I am wearing one of many beautiful dresses my granparents brought back for me on their yearly trips their winter home in Arizona. I didn't use any paper templates, I just cut out different patterned papers to create the look of a dress.

Easy, healthy, yummy

Here's one of my all-time favorite snacks! I love it because it's quick to make when I'm starving, it's fairly healthy and super yummy. The only ingredients are, diced avocado pieces, salsa(the salsa in the pic is from Costco) and a squirt of bottled lemon juice..then just mix together and use torilla chips to dip. Enjoy!

French Fry Mini Album

Like I've said before, fast food inspires me, lol! I was in a mini album phase and while I was eating fries one day, I looked at the container and started taking it apart. I wiped it off, layed it out onto a craft type transparency, traced around it, cut it out and Ta-da! A fry container can't go without fries in it..sooo..I used patterned paper, cut out fry shapes, inked the edges and glued them to the front page of the album. I used some more patterned paper, photos, a sharpie,foam letters, etc to make the rest of the album.

This layout was inspired by a treasure hunt that I made for our daughter and our nephew one day. My daughter thought they needed to dress up as pirates to look for their treasure!

One day I ran out to get a holder(can't think of the proper name right now, lol)for all of my phone numbers and addresses. After I wrote all the info on the cards, I looked at it and realized it didn't look cool at all, lol. So I jazzed it up a little with some patterned paper, transparencies, chipboard letters, paper flowers and ribbon. You can find everything you need at your local craft store. It's easy to do, I just cut and pasted(I like to use double sided craft tape)the paper and transparencies to match the size of the cards. Then I heat embossed different colors onto the chipboard letters, outlined them a sharpie,then glued them to the holder to create alphabetical dividers, then fancied up the front with flowers, ribbon and buttons.

I have a habit of making the same old stuff for supper, so I wanted to try something new. I've had this great book Paper Crafts Gourmet sitting in my cupboard forever and opened it up to a great soup recipe. I ended up putting my own spin on it by adding a couple of my own ingredients...but the untouched book recipe is super yummy too!

Just some random photos I've taken. I love taking photos and looking at them years later, remembering the past and how fast time flies. It's a good reminder to enjoy the moments, little or big, they all bring you back to different times in your life.

Animal Blocks

Here's a quick project I made using wooden blocks from Wall Sugar Co. For the animal shapes, I used some rub on's from a local scrapbook store. They're super easy and quick to use! Next I glued some patterned paper and buttons to the back of the frame, took the glass out and glued the blocks to the paper. You'll need some heavy duty glue( I love gorilla glue) and lots of time to dry(lay the frame flat until dry)

A layout of our amazing Alaskan cruise. We were so blessed to be part of this trip for my Grandparents 50th Wedding Anniversary! I used book pages for the boat shape and twisted the wire to make an anchor shape.
